Sault North Recycling Days
Since June 2007, SNWMC has sponsored free monthly curbside collection of recyclable plastics and cans.
Participation numbers have grown steadily and altogether, Sault North residents have been
able to divert over 50,000 kg (50 tonnes) of waste from going to landfill!
When is my recycling day?
Area #1 = 1st Friday of the month
(Goulais West, Mission Rd, & Old Hwy 17 Rd)
Area #2 = 2nd Friday of the month
(Goulais East, Searchmont, & Heyden)
Area #3 = 3rd Friday of the month
(Havilland, Batchawana, & Hwy 17 North)
Did you miss your curbside recycling pick-up?
Recyclables can now be brought to the Havilland Waste Disposal Site!
Do you have too many cans and can't wait until the next collection? Sault North residents can now bring recyclable materials to the Havilland WDS. #1 and #2 plastics, tin and aluminum cans, can be deposited free of charge in the GT Waste truck that is parked on-site. Hours of operation are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Materials will be processed for recycling, courtesy of the Sault North Waste Management Council.
